About our group:

We are part of the Recording Head Organization (RHO), embedded within the Global Quality Organization. Our team is responsible for end-to-end (E2E) product quality monitoring, ensuring that Seagate products—from upstream materials through downstream customer shipments—meet the highest standards.

 

At Seagate Teparuk, we play a critical role in safeguarding the quality of Head Gimbal Assemblies (HGA), a key component in hard disk drives, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.

About the role - you will:

As an HGA Quality Engineer, you will support the HGA Quality team, with responsibility for the quality of components from incoming material to finished goods inventory. Your work will be crucial in detecting abnormalities, resolving complex issues, and driving long-term improvements.

Your responsibilities will include two major focus areas:

1. Quality Monitoring and Problem Solving

  • Monitor and analyze HGA quality performance across assembly, test, and process control stages
  • Perform deep-dive E2E analysis to identify and address systemic issues or process abnormalities
  • Drive root cause analysis using 8D methodology to implement effective and sustainable corrective actions
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Process, Test, Materials, etc.) to ensure alignment and fast response

2. Continuous Improvement and Innovation

  • Lead or support data-driven quality improvement projects using Industrial 4.0, Prescriptive Analytics, and digital tools
  • Monitor key quality KPIs (e.g., DPPM, defect trends) and apply predictive approaches to prevent issues
  • Develop and deploy dashboards and automated tools for real-time quality tracking
  • Drive standardization, best practice sharing, and lessons learned to elevate process quality and reliability

About you:

  • Able to work in high-pressure situations, where decisions directly impact customer quality
  • Passionate, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork mindset, with flexibility to adapt to changing environments
  • Proactive and eager to take on new challenges and technologies
  • Effective communicator in both Thai and English, capable of presenting technical findings clearly

 

Your experience includes:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering or related fields
  • New graduates are welcome to apply
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in data analysis and quality tools
  • Familiarity with quality systems, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience in Power BI, JMP, Minitab, or other data analysis tools is an advantage
  • Presentation and reporting skills in both Thai and English
