About our group:

Occupational Health is a program within the Environmental Health and Safety. The Occupational Health team is made up of licensed medical staff who provide services to support the health and well-being of Seagate employees supplemented by contracted services as needed.

About the role - you will:

  • Develop and implement occupational health actions and initiatives aligned with the company’s goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the occupational health nurses in providing comprehensive health services, including pre-employment screenings, health education, and case management.
  • Conduct risk assessments and workplace health evaluations to identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures.
  • Manage the response to workplace injuries and illnesses, including the provision of first aid, emergency care, and referral to appropriate medical facilities.
  • Collaborate with EHS and other stakeholders to integrate health and safety programs.
  • Collaborate with Total Reward to integrate health and wellness programs.
  • Maintain accurate records of health assessments, incidents, and interventions for reporting and analysis purposes.
  • Provide training and support to employees and management on occupational health matters.
  • Evaluate and manage contracts with external health service providers and vendors.
  • Hands on role in training and supervising staff.
  • Ensuring compliance with OH programs such as hearing conservation, spirometry, medical surveillance, and supporting disability or pregnant/mother nursing case management activities and fit for duty evaluation.
  • Work closely with Occupational Health Manager to ensure that functional goals align with overall department objectives.
  • Provide backup support in the absence of the OH manager.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Public Health, or related field, and bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in data management and reporting.
  • Computer skills (Microsoft office)
  • Requires sufficient comprehension of the English language (Oral and written)
  • Encourage positive attitude towards OH&S
  • Develop and maintain relevant knowledge of OH&S matters.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and people skills allowing for the ability to motivate, cooperate and work effectively with others and support the site service level expectation.
  • Accountability and service-minded
  • Able to work under pressure

     

    Working conditions:

  • Office setting within an industrial environment.
  • Regular on-site visits to various company locations.
  • Availability for emergency response and after-hours consultations as needed

Your experience includes:

  • Supervisory experience and a background in nursing, OH or related fields are commonly required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing or occupational health, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
  • Experiences the management system of the following standard:
    • ISO 45001/ISO14001/ISO22301
    • RBA

Our Korat facility is our largest manufacturing site worldwide, with almost 20,000 employees.
