Our Slider Process team at Seagate Korat is dedicated to advancing cleaning technologies that support future product requirements and elevate product cleanliness and quality. We are seeking a highly capable and motivated Senior Engineer to lead and innovate within our cleaning process. This role is critical to our roadmap for next-generation products and continuous improvement initiatives. 

About the role - you will:

  • Lead the monitoring and analysis of key process indicators (KPIVs/KPOVs) for cleaning processes across current and new product lines to ensure compliance with cleanliness CTQs and overall product quality. 
  • Design and execute process evaluations, trials, and development activities aligned with project goals—focusing on quality, cost efficiency, process stability, and continuous improvement. 
  • Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to enhance cleanliness performance and reduce defect rates. Ensure all actions are documented in MPI for future reference. 
  • Contribute to technical innovation by proposing and developing new ideas within your area of expertise. 
  • Collaborate cross-functional with internal departments and external customers to resolve technical issues and share process knowledge. 
  • Support the transfer and integration of new technologies from development teams into production environments. 

About you:

  • Deep technical expertise in chemical/material engineering with proven problem-solving capabilities. 
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as SQL or JAMP is an advantage. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong communication skills, especially in cross-functional and technical discussions. 
  • Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and organizational skills. 

Your experience includes:

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Engineering, preferably in Chemical Engineering or Materials Engineering, or equivalent experience. 
  • Strong foundation in chemical properties and engineering principles, especially related to cleaning agents (e.g., flammable, surfactant, corrosive chemicals). 
  • Experience with surface chemistry and familiarity with metrology and lab analysis equipment is a plus. 
  • Prior exposure to HDD manufacturing or slider fabrication/cleaning processes is highly desirable. 
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required.

Korat, Thailand
