About our group:

Our organization is known as Process Technology Development (PTD) and is located at Seagate Korat Slider Factory. We are looking for an intern with extraordinary potential to take responsibility for improving slider cleaning technology. Our team’s mission is to develop slider cleaning technology to support future product roadmap to achieve Best In Class cleanliness and defect quality for our products.

About the role - you will:

  • Be understanding theoretical of slider cleaning system including aqueous cleaning system, solvent cleaning system and mechanical cleaning system.
  • Be mapping defect on each process step.
  • Make recommendations for changes in process design as well as tooling design based on data mapping proof.
  • Be assigned on additional tasks and responsibilities that will positively contribute towards team, department, and company goals.

#Internship

About you:

  • Excellent technical background of transducer material, cleaning chemical.
  • Capable of communicating in a complex situation with the cross-function support team.
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks, manage conflicting deadlines, and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent teamwork, organization, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively plan, control and take responsibility for timeline and status update.
  • Fluent in English communication, both spoken and written.

Your experience includes:

  • Knowledge in material engineering, chemical engineering, or mechanical engineering
  • Proficiency in material characterization and chemical reaction.
  • Familiarity with Oxidizing material (Metal reaction).
  • Knowledge of Simulation / Fluid Dynamics / Reaction mathematical model.
  • Knowledge of analytical instrument for example SEM, XRF, TOFSIM

Our Korat facility is our largest manufacturing site worldwide, with almost 20,000 employees. Here, our team produces cloud-based storage equipment, from individual storage components to finish drives.
