The Seagate Material Science Laboratory (MSL) provides service support laboratory analytical technique and scientific analysis for material, process, products on cleanliness, contamination, and failure analysis under operation Quality and Analytic (OQ&A).

About the role - you will:

· Perform laboratory analysis technique for normal and special sample preparation follow Seagate standard operating procedure.

· Analysis and characterization key chemistry inorganic and organic compound on drive component and special material sample

· Evaluate standard and new develop component extraction using liquid-liquid solvent extraction system.

· Evaluate and optimize the organic extraction solid and liquid phase sample using dynamic head space on metallic and non-metallic containing material.

· Execute system configuration changes and participate in all aspects of system requirements gathering, testing and production deployment.

· Develop test planning and outline assignment for laboratory frontline staff.

· Provide work instruction and effective feedback the frontline staffs.

· Interpret laboratory test results and summarize the analysis conclusion.

· Apply technical knowledge of organic chemistry and Gas chromatography with Mass selective detector analysis skill for assigned project.

· Communicate status of projects and progress to supervisor

· Summarize accomplishment, issue and relevant assignment as supervisor required.

· Accomplish an assigned project.

About you:

· Knowledge in Chemistry science, major organic chemistry, or analytical instrument science

· Proficiency in laboratory practical

· Understanding analytical laboratory technique conceptual

· Ability to operate Gas chromatography (GC) and understanding principle of volatile organic analysis.

· Experience to interpret GC Chromatogram and all type of GC Detector

· Understanding Mass selective detector (MSD) and Flam ionize detector (FID)

· Skill of Organic Solvent extraction power

· Familiarity with GC, FTIR, RAMAN application programming

· Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)

· Detail-oriented and organized.

Your experience includes:

· Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry science or related fields

· Good knowledge of general ionization mechanism principles related to organic.

· Effective project management skill

· Working proficiency with Microsoft Office
