About our group:
Process Technology Development (PTD) is developing HAMR (Heat-Assisted Magnetic Recording) and at the same time, extending the current HDD technology, perpendicular magnetic recording (PMR). Our group mainly focus on developing thin film cleanroom processes, e.g., high vacuum sputtering deposition, Filtered Cathodic Arc and etching processes. Our team is developing new slider processes or technology to meet future product roadmap requirements.

Our Korat facility is our largest manufacturing site worldwide, with almost 20,000 employees. Here, our team produces cloud-based storage equipment, from individual storage components to finish drives.
