The team leads complex engineering initiatives, develops advanced technical solutions, and oversees multidisciplinary engineering functions that support company-wide objectives. Working closely with senior executives, strategic partners, and cross-functional teams, we translate business needs into scalable technical strategies and operational plans.

As a global technical leadership team, we provide direction to Principal Engineers and engineering managers while fostering innovation, organizational capability, and continuous improvement. We are responsible for strategic planning, resource allocation, budgeting, talent development, and succession planning to ensure sustainable growth and operational excellence.

Through deep technical expertise, strong business acumen, and data-driven decision making, we solve critical engineering challenges, optimize organizational performance, and deliver solutions that have a significant impact on customers, business operations, and long-term company success.

About the role - you will:

  • Provides project status updates during weekly SMT (Senior Management Team) meetings.
  • Leads cost-reduction initiatives in scrap review meetings and coordinates site qualification and engineering change qualification approvals.
  • Owns the integration and tracking of program schedules, coordinates with the Master Scheduling team to meet Customer Test Unit (CTU) requirements, and prioritizes the management of Special Build Requests (SBRs).
  • Responsible for communicating product strategies to capacity planning teams, reviewing financial reports, and monitoring product costs.
  • Initiates cost-improvement efforts and drives quality and yield improvements.
  • Works with cross-functional teams to resolve product-related issues (e.g., resource allocation, technical support, facilities, and capital investments) and coordinates planning and implementation activities related to quality, capacity, and CTU support.
  • Ensures all pre-production build plans and activities are aligned with PLCP (Product Life Cycle Process) timelines, including the formation of the Volume Factory Transfer Team.
  • Conducts Manufacturing Plan reviews with designated team members from various cross-functional groups.
  • Drives organizational effectiveness through strategic planning, talent development, succession planning, and continuous operational improvement.
  • Provides leadership and direction to ensure alignment between business objectives, product strategies, and manufacturing execution.

About you:

  • Capable of communicating effectively in complex situations with cross-functional teams.
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks, manage conflicting deadlines, and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent teamwork, leadership, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively plan, control, and take ownership of project timelines and status updates.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Your experience includes:

  • Strong knowledge of the HDD (Hard Disk Drive) industry.
  • Strong technical background with a solid understanding of mechanical supplier qualification processes for new products.
  • Good understanding of process development methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of the Quality Management System (QMS).

Korat, Thailand

Our Korat facility is our largest manufacturing site worldwide, with more than 10,000 employees. Here, our team produces cloud-based storage equipment, from individual storage components to finished drives.
