About our group:

Korat Drive Functional Engineering – contains 5 job functions (Read/Write (R/W), Head Media Electrical
(HME), Drive Servo (SVO), Drive Mechanical (MECH) and Head Disk Integration Group (HDIG). The
overall assignment is a Hard Disc Drive (HDD) technical support team that works closely with the product
engineer, design center and reliability team to solve HDD problems, improving product quality, yield and test-time in related field of each function.

About the role - you will:

• Use programming skills, data analysis skills, and/or engineering skills to help analyze data, create
projects and applications that support collaborating tasks with Product Engineers, Design Center
Engineers and the Reliability Team to solve Hard Disc Drive (HDD) problems, improve product
quality, yield and test-time in related field of Drive Servo function
• Assist and/or initiate any drive’s test process, generate process improvement ideas and actively
participate in design concepts
• Provide direct on-site support to manufacturing operations, product engineers, reliability team,
and design centers
• Perform data analysis, mechanical and electrical failure analysis (MFA, EFA) by using Seagate’s
HDD tools, Matlab and computer programing (C and Python) to find the root cause, understand
the problems and/or new design such as changes in mechanical and electrical component
• Monitor the product performance, yield and quality focusing on the related field of Drive Servo
function
• Be a technical consultant to Product Engineers and Reliability Team.

Your experience includes:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field or equivalent experience (Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronics)
• Working proficiency with Microsoft Office, Matlab, Computer programming (C and Python) and
Oscilloscope
• Good Knowledge and understanding of basic electrical and circuits
• Good Knowledge of data analysis

Our Korat facility is our largest manufacturing site worldwide, with more than 10,000 employees. Here,
our team produces cloud-based storage equipment, from individual storage components to finished
