Engineer I (ESD Control Engineering )

About our group:

ESD Control Engineering has vision to protect Seagate’s products from Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) damage throughout the product life cycle with Best In Class ESD management and services.

Our missions:

• Continual improve ESD technical knowledge.
• Qualify, verify and monitor ESD matter to ensure achieving Seagate and ESDA requirements.
• Evaluate, investigate, and consult to solve significant ESD inquiry.
• Deliver on time ESD services.
• Open to suggestions to satisfy ESD interested parties.

About the role - you will:

• Maintain and continual improve ESD control system per Seagate’s and Industrial standard
• ESD material qualification per Seagate and ESDA standard
• ESD Line Certification, Compliance Verification, Risk Assessment, Evaluation and ESD Disciplinary control
• Yield improvement, root cause analysis and solve the problem of ESD related failure
• Coordinate with colleagues to solve problem to meet intended outcome
• Be consultant of ESD auditor and colleagues, continual improve team’s knowledge
• Continuous Improvement Project

About you:

• Electronic and electrical skills (electronic and electrical circuit analysis)
• Electronic and electrical measurement and analysis tools
• Electrostatic discharge measurement and control
• Computer software, data analysis, office suites
• Quality system auditing
• Ability to work across multiple teams and collaborate effectively
• Good command of English both read-write and communication
• Ability and willing to learn new things, self-improvement attitude
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service

Our Korat facility is our largest manufacturing site worldwide, with more than 10,000 employees.
