Sales Representative - DACH

The DACH Sales Team provides leading edge customer management and innovative solutions to customers across the DACH region. Our ambition is to lead with best practices, to become a market leader in all our device segments, while continually looking for new opportunities to grow. 

About the role - you will:

 

  • Manage and promote business with Key Consumer Accounts (mainly Retail & Hybrids).through an indirect channel sales model
  • Manage and foster Seagate direct accounts (Distributors) to enable business with named indirect accounts, to explore and expand into new sales channels and to grow business breadth in the open channel
  • Develop, implement and measure sales strategies for assigned accounts, customer segments and territory
  • Identify and articulate new opportunities, including new strategic programs, cross-channel sales activities and marketing strategies to create and drive a brand preference for Seagate and LaCie
  • Attain unit volume, margins, and market share objectives
  • Manage customer relationships (direct and indirect) at all levels within named accounts and ecosystem partners to keep Seagate strategy on course. Practice open, transparent, and candid dialogue with customers and set clear expectations
  • Understand the metrics that define success for customers
  • Leverage customer engagements to provide value-add to the customer, drive Seagate’s focus areas and highlight Seagate’s differentiated capabilities.
  • Developing forecasts through gathering and analyzing the baseline data from sales reports, inventories provided by the major customers and trending this with competitive and general market data as available
  • Ensure consistent and regular communication of company’s strategies and procedures through regular face-to-face visits and phone communications, solving issues quickly, documenting decisions made and actions to be taken
  • Work closely with the sales management, channel marketing, business management and other Seagate departments and external organizations as required, ensuring best-of-breed partnership support, optimization of opportunities and resolution of issues
     

About you:

 

  • Proven track record in the indirect IT channel components industry
  • Be flexible and adapt behavior to any strategy changes
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Superior relationship building and excellent presentation skills.
  • Able to uncover and analyze market needs, potential trends and formulate appropriate plans and programs in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
  • Work with the team to develop and build a pipeline of opportunities
  • Utilize the entire organizational resources, tools and capabilities to strengthen Partner confidence in Seagate
  • Results-oriented with demonstrated ability to identify problems and come up with effective solutions.
  • Fluent written and verbal communication in German and English, Italian and French advantageous
     

Your experience includes:

 

•    You are a seasoned sales individual with an array of sales success in DACH region
•    Excellent analytical skills, IT savvy and reporting skills
•    Solid multi-tasking and problem resolution abilities
•    You are a natural self-starter, results orientated, and a ‘quick learner’ with the desire to learn new tools and technologies
•    Strong, customer service, account management and negotiation skills, with the ability to interface with a diverse set of clients
•    Working through organizational complexities
