About our group:

Join our dynamic Materials Department, where we play a pivotal role in shaping the Media Demand Plan in supporting the Master Schedule (MS) of our drives. We are tasked with converting the Drive MS quantities into Media quantities by products, thereby crafting the crucial Recording Media Operation Demand Plan (RDP). This plan is integral to our factory planners' ability to synchronize production capacities with RDP requirements, considering yield rates, machine/tooling limitations, and material constraints to formulate the Master Production Schedule (MPS).  

About the role - you will:

As a Material Planning Intern, you will have hands‑on exposure to SAP/IBP transformation, planning digitization, and workflow enhancement. Support the seamless execution of the MPS by factory personnel, ensuring a continuous supply of Media to meet Drive MS requirements. Be involved in projects that enhance the accuracy of translating Media demands from the Drive MS Demand, using improved Excel-based planning files. A key aspect of your involvement will be aiding the team in advancing towards implementing SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) to build future‑ready Media Demand & Supply Planning solutions. 

You will embark on three exciting projects designed to enhance our operational efficiency and align with our strategic objectives: 

  • Develop a standard Media demand computation format for faster turn-around for the EBO/LRP process and what-if scenarios 

  • Document work processes related to SAP/IBP planning solutions 

  • Organize AI related activities (together with our Dept AI agent) to engage the Team to be more aware of how AI can help in our day-to-day tasks 

About you:

We're on the lookout for someone who is: 

  • Numerically proficient with strong analytical skills. 

  • Keen interest in understanding, translating complex data into compelling insights and communicating these insights effectively. 

  • A great team player who thrives in collaborative environments. 

  • Able to communicate effectively and work efficiently with various teams. 

  • Highly skilled in with Microsoft Excel, VBA, Power Automate, Python, Power BI which are essential to organize data from different sources (mainly in excel spreadsheet format) to generate reports as needed and for analysis purposes for decision-making

  • Able to commit full internship (Jan to Jun/Aug 2027)

Your experience includes:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business analytics or any relevant fields 

  • Creating advanced Microsoft Excel templates, including linked files, formulas, criteria setting, pivot tables, and V-lookups. 

  • Developing tables and charts in Microsoft Excel. 

  • Use of AI Knowledge for presentation materials, workflow documentation, day-to-day tasks

  • Designing workflows in PowerPoint and possessing strong presentation skills.

Location:

Our Woodlands site is one of the largest electronics manufacturing sites in Singapore, housing our recording media operations. Spread over three sites, it is easily accessible via bus or from the MRT Station, with many employees taking mass transportation to work.
