- Coordinate daily production activities across an assigned line, cell, or area with increasing independence by translating approved production plans into work assignments and operating priorities based on staffing, training status, material availability, process requirements, and escalation procedures.
- Coordinate manpower deployment, shift-start communication, handovers, follow-up actions, and task assignments within approved production plans, training authorizations, and staffing parameters.
- Verify team members are trained and authorized before assigning equipment, process, or material-handling tasks, and coordinate equipment, material, documentation, and workstation readiness throughout the shift.
- Monitor safety, quality, output, workflow, material availability, and assigned operational indicators; support reporting, tracking, and escalation of key operational metrics and risks.
- Act as the first point of coordination for routine production, material, equipment, inventory, and quality issues by initiating approved containment actions, communicating risks, engaging Engineering, Quality, Planning, or other support functions, and supporting investigations or structured problem-solving for recurring operating issues.
- Review production records, quality checks, and shift documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Coordinate area-level training and cross-training needs for new and existing team members through the approved training process.
- Coach MS I and MS II team members on standard work, safe practices, quality requirements, escalation expectations, and Work Instruction adherence, and follow up on identified readiness gaps through the approved training process.
- Lead or coordinate approved local continuous improvement actions and verify sustainment without formal managerial authority.
- Perform trained production support tasks when required, including equipment set-up, machine operation, labelling, packing, palletizing, and material handling.
- Support other related manufacturing activities within the assigned functional-lead scope.
