About our group:

The Total Rewards team is responsible for developing a comprehensive rewards package that aims to attract, retain, and motivate employees while supporting the company’s goals and objectives.  Included in the Total Rewards package offered to employees are all types of wages, benefits, recognition, and well-being programs.  Seagate’s Global Total Rewards team is comprised of three regional teams – Asia, EMEA and Americas.  This position will support the Americas team comprising the countries of U.S., Brazil, Canada, and Mexico.

About the role - you will:

Interns in this role will be given practical experience in the areas of Compensation, Benefits and Equity Programs with exposure to plans in U.S., Brazil, Canada, and Mexico. 


You will work collaboratively with highly experienced HR leaders/professionals as part of the Total Rewards team. You will have the opportunity to work on projects and deliverables that will focus on strengthening the employee experience and to be innovative by suggesting, creating, and implementing solutions that can make an impact to our people and culture. You will support the Total Rewards team in the design, administration, analysis, and management of Seagate’s Total Rewards programs.

 
This is a great opportunity for an energetic individual to learn and support a diverse mix of compensation, benefits, and equity projects/areas for the America’s Total Rewards team to include:  

  • Annual Compensation Review Tool testing. 
  • Global Job Classification Projects.
  • General analytical support for the annual compensation review and TR Partner support. 
  • Review America’s Compensation and Benefit Policies and suggest improvements.   
  • Benefit Plan audits to confirm eligibility and ensure correct payroll deductions.
  • Well-being initiatives support.
  • Equity projects support.
  • Other projects as assigned. 

About you:

Your experience includes:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including using Excel for analytical purposes.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Currently in Junior or Senior year of a Bachelor's degree program with an emphasis in Human Resources.

The estimated base wage range for this position is $27.00-29.00/hr. The individual base wage is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Seagate offers comprehensive benefits to its eligible Interns, including, but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, and participation in the employee stock purchase plan.  Seagate also offers Interns 12 paid holidays and a minimum of 48 hours of paid sick leave.  The benefits for this position are based on a 24 to 40-hour-per-week schedule for a full calendar year and may differ depending on work location and tenure with the Company.
