Engineer - Software Developer in Firmware Test - Entry-Level

About the role - you will:

  • Develop automated C-language test to verify quality and specification compliance of firmware products at the interface command level.
  • Collaborate with firmware developers, customers, and code architects to identify and validate firmware use cases.
  • Document functionality of test scripts using standard template, lead meetings to review documentation.
  • Debug failing test to assist in reproducing failure.
  • Modify existing test to repair code bugs, update test for additional functional testing, add debug hooks to existing test.

About you:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related degree.
  • Experience with Agile, FMEA, Perforce, and/or Jira a plus.
  • Experience with oscilloscopes, data/logic analyzers, and/or emulators a plus.
  • Hands on troubleshooting and debug experience.
  • Test development experience of command interface level automated test of storage devices or other firmware controlled devices using C or other languages.
  • Experience using code collaboration tools.
  • Ability to lead meetings
  • Willingness to interact with technical groups and customers
  • Flexible in approach to problem solving.
  • Adaptable to changes in routine.
