About our group:

 

Our team consists of members working directly on the silicon development of a high bandwidth read/write preamplifier for large capacity disk drives with the latest state-of-the-art Heat Assisted Magnetic Recording technology. We are responsible for integrating the latest preamps into the high speed read write data path of hard drive.  We validate Preamp block functionality, failure analysis, data analysis, SNR, and hands on lab verification.

About the role - you will:

 

  • Optimize Preamp Defaults
  • Work with Drive Core team to integrate new preamps into new product.
  • Bench level testing of preamp functions and SNR
  • Perform Failure analysis
  • Work with external vendors on preamp debug
  • Analyse large data sets of hard drive Parametrics

 

About you:

 

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with global teams 
  • Proficient in Matlab or Python
  • Hands on Failure Analysis skills
  • Familiar with Oscilloscopes, Power supplies, Spectrum analyzers
  • Understanding of time and frequency domain.
  • Able to work in self-directed manner
  • Have ability to process and analyze large data set
  • Willing to learn

Your experience includes:

 

 

  • Programing experience
  • Familiar with magnetic principles
  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering

The estimated base salary range for this position is $$57,008.00 – $76,800.00. The individual salary is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
