About our group:

We are part of the Systems Data Storage team, responsible for delivering applications and services that provide a cohesive management and user experience across Seagate’s product lines. Our software layer manages data, configures storage, monitors health and performance, and supports both industry-standard and proprietary interfaces—serving customers ranging from connected devices to large-scale private cloud databases.

About the role - you will:

  • Work alongside experienced engineers to design, implement, and debug embedded software components for array devices
  • Develop embedded software within a Linux environment.
  • Assist in resolving software defects, participate in design and code reviews, and update software documentation.
  • Write automated test cases for software quality assurance.

Your experience includes:

  • Coursework or project experience in software development.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, Object oriented programming & API development
  • Exposure to Go/Python (preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of Linux development environments
  • Experience using Git or another version control system in a team or project setting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with enrollment continuing through Fall 2026.

The estimated base wage range for this position is $24 - $35/hr. The individual base wage is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Seagate offers comprehensive benefits to its eligible Interns, including, but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, and participation in the employee stock purchase plan.  Seagate also offers Interns 12 paid holidays and a minimum of 48 hours of paid sick leave.  The benefits for this position are based on a 24 to 40-hour-per-week schedule for a full calendar year and may differ depending on work location and tenure with the Company.
