Staff Applications Engineer

About our group:
We are the Customer Technical Engagement team that ensures successful new product and technology transitions with our customer teams. You will have the opportunity to work with the latest storage technologies while interfacing with a wide array of internal teams
About the role - you will:
- Drive all technical aspects of our customer qualification engagements
- Replicate, analyze, and develop solutions in concert with internal engineering teams to address customer issues
- Run tests in customer environment to validate drive/system compatibility
- Assist in post-qualification customer technical issues
- Create and present technical information to internal teams
- Work with customer account team to solidify feedback into future product requirements.
- Coordinate activities of other organizations to ensure customer deliverables meet the customer expectations
- Work with customers to understand and resolve system-level issues. Interface between customer and tools groups to develop and deploy system tools for optimizing drive usage

Your experience includes:
- Demonstrated experience testing and resolving concurrent, complex highly technical issues
- Experience with storage device usage within large-scale storage and / or compute systems
- Project management and tracking experience
- Engineering design experience
- Experience dealing with external customer or supplier
- Programming experience
- Experience with SATA, SAS, and NVMe interfaces and bus analyzers
- Storage system level experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering related field (i.,e Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Computer Engineering, Materials, Physics, or Information Technology) and 8+ years of experience or Master’s Degree in the same and 5+ years’ experience or PhD and 3+ years’ experience or equivalent experience and education

Actual salary range is based on fair market value of the role in the geography in which you live based on the requirements of the job and your skills.
