About our group:

We are responsible for all aspects of Sputter deposition coating systems, including technology integration, equipment design and modifications, operations data gathering and analysis, failure mode analysis and corrective actions, performance validation, and media development process support. Our team plays a critical role in enabling innovation and sustaining high-performance manufacturing capabilities.

About the role - you will:

  • Lead and supervise activities related to Sputter Systems and Technology within the Equipment Engineering team.
  • Oversee system configuration, materials logistics, and coordination of engineering support for R&D and production environments.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members and coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure timely execution of engineering projects.
  • Supervise day-to-day operations and support activities for Sputter deposition systems.
  • Lead system reconfiguration projects and coordinating with engineering and operations teams.
  • Manage materials logistics, inventory levels, and external supplier processing.
  • Generate and manage purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery of critical components.
  • Support failure analysis, corrective actions, and performance validation efforts.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to management and cross-functional teams.
  • Mentor and guiding junior specialists and technicians.

About you:

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with a hands-on approach.
  • Proficient in technical troubleshooting and system-level thinking.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, 24/7 R&D and manufacturing environment.

Your experience includes:

  • Safety-first mindset in all aspects of work.
  • Deep understanding of sputter system operations, materials logistics, and equipment support.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring technical staff.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate status to stakeholders.
  • Prior experience in equipment engineering or manufacturing support roles.
  • Able to work Wednesday to Saturday and every other Thursday to Saturday 6am to 6pm.

You might also have:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Technical certifications or coursework in engineering or manufacturing disciplines.

The estimated base wage range for this position is $38.00 - $55.00/hr. The individual base wage is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
