About our group:

The Corporate Accounting team leads various accounting operations of the organization including monthly-close processes, finance policies, along with consolidation and external reporting functions.  Our team has an exciting opportunity for a Manager of Global Accounting and Consolidations who will be based in Fremont, California.

About the role - you will:

This exciting yet challenging role provides a great opportunity for growth and includes a variety of corporate accounting responsibilities. 

  • Participate in monthly global consolidations and intercompany eliminations processes; fulfill related reporting requirements and meet SOX deadlines.
  • Oversee and refine month-end close processes, procedures, and SOX testing, including accounting for intercompany transactions, restructuring, variable compensation, deferred compensation, regional payroll, chart of accounts maintenance and escheatment.
  • Coordinate with external auditors on quarterly / annual engagements.
  • Analyze accounting transactions; research policies and accounting guidance to determine associated accounting treatments, and document / communicate financial statement impact to senior management and cross-functional business leaders.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning.  Develop, coach, and train staff to improve processes and absorb new responsibilities and tasks.
  • Partner with cross-functional business partners to support special projects, including system implementation, workflow automation and drive continuous process improvements. 

About you:

  • Proficient in Excel coupled with SAP and ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Strong accounting, analytical and interpersonal skills with attention to detail and focus on internal control. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and work overtime during month-end and quarter-end periods.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated, have a superior work ethic, and a roll-up-the-sleeves style to your work.
  • Strong Communicator – you excel in both verbal and written communications vertically throughout the organization.
  • Thrives in working independently as well as a collaborative team member.
  • Ability to develop cooperation and foster teamwork at all levels while maintaining integrity of their point of view.

Your experience includes:

 

  • Solid working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Extensive accounting experience, including experience in auditing at public accounting firm(s), and/or equivalent experience at large multi division/entity public company(s)

 
You may also have:

  • Certified public accountant (CPA)
  • Six to seven years Big 4 experiences preferred
  • Industry knowledge in storage technologies, cloud, or computer hardware 
  • Experience with SAP 
  • Tableau or other visualization tool experience 
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field or equivalent experience

The estimated base salary range for this position is $121,000 - $176,000. The individual salary is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
