About our group:

The IT Communications intern position reports to a Sr. Director and Program Manager in IT with responsibilities including IT Communications, IT Learning, and CIO Awards. This position will work alongside the Program Manager to meet with global IT Leaders that report to the CIO, including the head of Infrastructure, End User Services, Enterprise Applications, Data Analytics, Information Security, Collaboration and Directory Services, and Factory Information Systems.

About the role - you will:

The Seagate Technology IT Team is looking for a dynamic and success driven summer intern to work on IT communications and learning initiatives for Seagate employees.


The primary project will be to create an IT Annual Report. The IT Annual Report highlights IT accomplishments and demonstrates through examples how IT provides business value, partnering and engaging with the business.


You will review presentations, online information, and status reports and use Copilot to develop a draft of the IT Annual report working with the Program Manager. You will design the layout, incorporating pictures, metrics and quotes from leaders. You will interview IT Leaders and refine the captured information.

  • Good base of IT knowledge and excels in developing engaging communications.
  • Areas of Interest: Communications, Information Technology, Public Relations, Marketing, Business
  • Self-motivated and capable of working in a self-directed manner.

Your experience includes:

  • Excellent written communication skills using graphics, pictures, and formatting to convey messages.
  • Proficient in collaboration tools - Microsoft Word, Outlook, Copilot, and Windows.
  • University students returning to school in fall 2025 with emphasis on - Communications, Information Technology, Public Relations, Marketing, Business, or related fields of study.

The estimated base wage range for this position is $19.50 - $33.50/hr. The individual base wage is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. 

 

Seagate offers comprehensive benefits to its eligible Interns, including, but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, and participation in the employee stock purchase plan.  Seagate also offers Interns 12 paid holidays and a minimum of 48 hours of paid sick leave.  The benefits for this position are based on a 24 to 40-hour-per-week schedule for a full calendar year and may differ depending on work location and tenure with the Company.
