The Investor Relations organization serves as the primary link between Seagate and the investment community, communicating the company's strategy, financial performance, capital allocation priorities and long-term value proposition to institutional investors, research analysts and other stakeholders.

About the role - you will:

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Investor Relations and Capital Markets (“SVP”), the Head of Investor Relations serves as the operational leader of Seagate's investor relations function. The role also serves as an authorized spokesperson to the investment community, maintaining continuity of external engagement and selected investor coverage while partnering closely with the SVP on strategic messaging and priority shareholder engagements.   
 
 

This highly visible leadership role is responsible for translating Seagate's investor communication and engagement strategy into a disciplined, enterprise-wide program that strengthens investor confidence, enhances understanding of the company's strategy and financial performance, and supports long-term shareholder value creation.  
 
 

The Head of IR oversees the day-to-day execution of the global investor relations program, leads the quarterly earnings process, develops a high-performing team, coordinates critical cross-functional activities, and serves as a key advisor to senior leadership on investor sentiment, valuation, shareholder perspectives and competitive financial developments. 

About you:

  • You are an experienced investor relations, equity research, investment banking or corporate finance professional who combines strong financial acumen with exceptional communication skills.  
  • You possess a deep understanding of capital markets, public company disclosure requirements and investor expectations. 
  • You are comfortable working with senior executives, leading cross-functional initiatives and translating complex financial and business topics into clear, compelling messages for external audiences. 
  • You have experience in applying AI applications to drive business insights and enhance efficiency.   
  • You are equally effective in strategic discussions and hands-on execution, and you have a demonstrated ability to build capable teams, improve processes and influence outcomes across large organizations.  
     
     

Key Responsibilities  

  • Translate Seagate's investor communication and engagement strategies into an integrated investor relations operating plan spanning earnings, investor events, shareholder targeting and outreach, financial analysis and executive communications.   
  • Lead and develop a high-performing investor relations team, establishing operating discipline, execution priorities and continuous improvement initiatives.   
  • Direct the day-to-day operations of the investor relations function, ensuring effective execution of annual objectives, recurring processes, and cross-functional activities.  
  • Serve as an authorized spokesperson with selected investors and analysts, providing continuity of external engagement and coverage as appropriate while partnering closely with the SVP on priority investor interactions.   
  • Drive execution of the quarterly earnings process, including development of earnings materials, Q&A preparation and cross-functional alignment, while partnering closely with the SVP on messaging, narrative development, executive communications, and overall readiness.  
  • Support investor engagement activities through preparation, coordination and execution of analyst events, investor conferences, non-deal roadshows and other shareholder outreach programs.   
  • Lead the team responsible for competitive financial analysis of peers, customers and suppliers results, shareholder analysis and consensus management activities, ensuring quality insights, actionable recommendations and executive-level reporting for senior leadership.   
  • Partner closely with Legal, Finance, External Reporting, Communications, and other internal business leaders to support effective disclosure, shareholder engagement, sustainability reporting and consistent external communications.   
  • Lead and advance Seagate's AI-enabled investor relations program, to identify and operationalize opportunities which further enhance competitive financial analysis, shareholder insights, executive communications, workflow efficiency and organizational effectiveness. 

Your experience includes:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and leading complex cross-functional initiatives.   
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation methodologies, capital markets and public company disclosure requirements.   
  • Exceptional written, verbal and presentation communication skills.   
  • Ability to synthesize financial, competitive and industry information into clear executive-level insights and recommendations.   
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with senior executives, investors and external stakeholders.   
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in investor relations, equity research, investment banking, corporate finance or similar capital markets-oriented roles.   
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related discipline or equivilant experience. 

 

Preferred Qualifications   

  • Technology industry experience, preferably within semiconductors, storage, infrastructure, cloud, enterprise technology or AI-related markets.  
  • Prior experience in investor relations with a publicly traded company, sell-side research coverage or buy-side institutional investments.  
  • Experience interacting directly with institutional investors and sell-side research analysts.  
  • CFA, MBA or other advanced financial credentials.  
  • Experience leveraging AI, automation and advanced analytics tools to improve business processes, decision making or organizational effectiveness.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $232,000 - $344,000. The individual salary is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year and may differ depending on work location.
