Engineering Specialist III

About our group:

 

Responsible for all aspects of production process, including equipment set-up and maintenance, production/fabrication, test, production training, and machine/tool making.
 

About the role - you will:

 

  • Responsible for clearly defined aspects of production process equipment, including equipment set-up, maintenance, troubleshooting, test and calibration.
  • Ensures operation of electro-mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specification.
  • Troubleshooting malfunctions. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Removes and replaces defective parts by dismantling and assembling devices and sub-assemblies; using hand and power tools
  • Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using computer based input devices, hand tools, levels, and specialized fixtures.
  • Responsible for maintenance of production and production testing equipment. Typical duties: Maintains, repairs and troubleshoots equipment in a manner that meets company standards and ensures minimum equipment downtime. Includes Technicians that repair and maintain production and production test equipment.  
  • Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations. Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments. Has substantial understanding of the job, and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.

About you:

 

Proficient in the relevant technical skills and techniques, with a practical understanding of the theoretical technical principles in the relevant job function.

Your experience includes:

 

  • Direct Thin Film process experience.
  • Extensive electro-mechanical experience.
