B2B Marketing Analytics Manager

The Global Marketing Analytic Team is seeking a passionate and experienced leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves a challenge, and aspires to make meaningful contributions to the Seagate business.   In this role, you will be a key contributor to the Global marketing Analytic team, tasked with implementing and developing innovative measurement strategies, leading business intelligence efforts, leading a team of analysts and executing analyses designed to drive deep understanding of consumer behavior and communications performance.  You will have exposure across the business, work cross functionally with other leaders and tap into a network of company-wide data scientists, engineers, analysts, and computational resources.   This is a full-time position based in Seagate’s HQ in Fremont, CA.   

About the role - you will:

  • Partner with global and regional business stakeholders to design & implement reporting dashboards that track key measures and performance trends, and provide actionable insights to marketing leadership
  • Manage a team of two (or more) direct reports, responsible for a wide range of marketing analytics and insights.
  • Lead data modeling and measuring marketing effectiveness. Partners with internal and external clients and data providers, leveraging predictive analytics and advanced statistical techniques to drive strategic thinking and effective decision making.
  • Provides a clear, strategic vision and a plan for bringing actionable, innovative analytic solutions to market and responsible for translating raw data into insights that prove or disprove business / marketing hypotheses, provide analytic insight on optimal lead scoring, multi touch attribution.
  • Define and optimize targeted account selection and ABM practices to advise on account-based marketing strategies and optimize execution of those strategies to deliver key outcomes
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define quarterly and annual demand generation targets, monitor achievement, and deliver forecasts that will help teams to measure and enhance. 
  • Utilize customer journey insights and customer segmentation to lead, inspire and enable marketing teams to embed marketing performance analysis into their periodic planning and daily execution
  • Deliver an end-to-end marketing measurement framework to determine marketing effectiveness, contribution and spend efficiency
  • Synthesize market intelligence, market research and marketing analytics to inform planning and investment decisions 
  • Our core responsibility is to understand our customer better and help to optimize the marketing programs. 

About you:

  • Ability to lead collaboration across functional teams to deliver insights and observations on customers and marketing effectiveness
  • Self-Starter with strong project management & collaboration ability to lead analytics projects end-to-end
  • Strong communication skills and solutions, both written and oral.   Client service-oriented with an emphasis on creativity and diligence
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Your experience includes:

  • Expert in B2B marketing strategies and analytics to drive customer awareness, consideration, engagement and pipeline insights
  • Manipulating and analyzing large data sets, monitoring and predicting trends and identifying opportunities through the interpretation of financial, behavioral, demographic and operational data
  • First-hand, demonstrable experience in customer-based data analytics and experience applying statistical methods (e.g., correlations, regressions, segmentation, A/B testing, behavioral modeling, revenue attribution etc. ) 
  • SQL, Tableau, R, Python, STATA, SAS, etc
  • Strong visualization and data storytelling skills and creating reports/dashboards using Tableau + Tableau server or similar BI tool
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking; up to date with the latest trends and best practices in online & offline marketing and measurement
  • Bachelor’s Degree and / or equivalent experience


You may also have: 

  • Knowledge of statistical packages and/or optimization tools (SAS, Python, R, AWS)
  • Knowledge of Data Analytics Maturity Models including: Gartner’s and the Analytic Delta (Davenport). 
  • knowledge of analytic capability with advanced statistics/machine learning/AI application (Multivariate and Discriminant analysis, CHAID, Genetic Algorithms, Multiple and Logistic Regression, Random Forests, NLP, Deep Learning, KNN, K-Means Clustering, PCA, Neural Networks, Kernel Methods, Bagging, Boosting and other Ensembles) along with a familiarity with (Optimization Techniques including Linear and Nonlinear Programming).
  • Knowledge in developing quantitative statistical models in a consumer and B-to-B environment 
  • B2B CRM knowledge and skills especially Salesforce, Eloqua, Marketo, Lead scoring models.
