About our group:

The Etail/Retail Route-to-Market team ensures the company’s go-to-market plans are successfully executed across global etail/retail channels. The team manages and aligns the 4Ps — product, pricing, placement, and promotion — to ensure plans support business targets and drive revenue growth.

 

Working closely with product marketing, sales, analytics, and global marketing teams, the group coordinates product launches, pricing strategy, channel placement planning, and promotional activation across regions. The team also monitors channel performance, analyzes business results, and surfaces insights that inform pricing, investment, and growth decisions.

As the Ecommerce Marketing Intern – B2B Insights & Optimization, you'll work on a focused global analysis of Seagate's B2B ecommerce efforts across our Direct Store and eTail/Retail channels. You'll use available program data, business results, and input from global teams to understand how B2B ecommerce capabilities are being utilized and performing across different markets.

 

You'll help compare results, identify patterns and differences, investigate potential drivers behind performance, and turn your analysis into insights and recommendations that can help our teams make more informed decisions.

 

This internship provides hands-on experience working with real-world ecommerce programs and data while collaborating with marketing and business teams across a global organization.

 

Primary Project
Global B2B Ecommerce Capability Performance & Optimization Analysis

The project will focus on understanding how B2B ecommerce capabilities are being utilized across Seagate's Direct Store and global eTail/Retail channels, where performance differs across markets, and what factors may be contributing to those differences.


The intern will analyze available data and program learnings across retailers, regions, customer segments, products, and activation approaches to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for continued optimization.


What You'll Do

  • As part of your internship, you will support a Global B2B Ecommerce Capability Performance & Optimization Analysis by:
  • Gathering and organizing available B2B ecommerce data and program results across Seagate's Direct Store and global eTail/Retail channels.
  • Comparing how B2B ecommerce capabilities are being utilized across retailers, regions, and channels.
  • Analyzing performance to identify trends, differences, and potential drivers of stronger or weaker results.
  • Examining performance across relevant dimensions such as customer segments, products, use cases, messaging, content, and activation approaches.
  • Conducting deeper analysis into selected areas where the data indicates a meaningful opportunity or unanswered question.
  • Gathering input from global and regional teams to provide context behind performance differences and capture key learnings.
  • Supplementing internal analysis with targeted competitive or market research where it helps explain findings or identify potential opportunities.
  • Identifying patterns or approaches that may be relevant across additional retailers, regions, or Direct Store.
  • Helping identify 1–3 areas where additional optimization, testing, or scale could be considered.
  • Preparing and presenting research findings, key insights, and recommendations at the conclusion of the internship.

Your experience includes:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Data Analytics, Management, Information Systems, or a related field and returning to school in Fall 2027.
  • Comfortable working with data and identifying patterns, trends, and insight.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

 

Preferred

  • Interest in ecommerce, retail, B2B marketing, business analytics, or customer behavior.
  • Experience with class projects, internships, or extracurricular activities involving data analysis, research, or business problem solving.
  • Familiarity with ecommerce metrics or analytics tools is helpful but not required.
  • Interest in understanding how data and customer insights can be used to improve business and marketing decisions

The estimated base wage range for this position is $20.00-29.50/hr. The individual base wage is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Seagate offers comprehensive benefits to its eligible Interns, including, but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, and participation in the employee stock purchase plan. Seagate also offers Interns 12 paid holidays and a minimum of 48 hours of paid sick leave.  The benefits for this position are based on a 24 to 40-hour-per-week schedule for a full calendar year and may differ depending on work location and tenure with the Company.
