About our group:

The Human Resources team is looking for an experienced and influential Senior / Staff HR Business Partner to help strengthen HR service delivery across EMEA.

This role will act as a senior HR partner to leaders and a key point of coordination for complex regional people matters. The Senior / Staff HRBP will provide expert guidance on employee relations, workforce change, organisation effectiveness and people strategy, while helping to create clearer ownership, stronger handoffs and more consistent ways of working across EMEA.

The EMEA environment is complex, with multiple jurisdictions, country-specific requirements and a need for close collaboration across functional HRBPs, Legal, HR Central, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition and business leaders. This role will be expected to bring judgement, credibility, structure and leadership to that environment.

About the role - you will:

  • Act as a senior strategic partner and trusted advisor to leaders across EMEA, supporting people decisions aligned to business priorities.
  • Provide senior-level HR guidance on complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, settlement, restructure and RIF activity.
  • Lead or coordinate complex cross-border HR processes, ensuring clear ownership, timely execution, appropriate stakeholder alignment and effective risk management.
  • Help define and embed clear handoffs between EMEA HRBPs, functional HRBPs, Legal, HR Central, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition and business stakeholders.
  • Support the development of consistent EMEA HRBP ways of working, including case ownership, escalation routes, timelines and communication standards.
  • Ensure leaders receive one aligned HR voice by coordinating guidance across HR, Legal and relevant centres of expertise before business engagement.
  • Partner with leaders to improve organisational effectiveness, employee engagement, talent planning, succession, performance management and workforce planning.
  • Use data, insights and judgement to identify people risks, recommend solutions and support proactive decision-making.
  • Coach and support managers in building leadership capability, accountability and confidence in managing people issues.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced HRBPs, helping build regional capability and consistency.
  • Represent EMEA HRBP perspectives in regional or global HR projects and initiatives.
  • Lead or contribute to HR transformation, process improvement, AI-enabled HRBP work, simplification and service delivery improvements.
  • Role model Seagate’s culture and values and help create a high-quality, consistent employee experience across EMEA.

About you:

You are an experienced EMEA skilled HR professional with strong credibility, judgement and influence. You can operate at both strategic and operational levels, moving from complex case management to broader operating model improvement. You are comfortable dealing with ambiguity, but you bring clarity, structure and accountability to the work.

You will bring:

  • Strong strategic partnering capability with the confidence to advise, challenge and influence senior leaders.
  • Extensive employee relations experience, including handling complex, sensitive or high-risk cases.
  • Ability to lead complex processes involving multiple stakeholders, countries, functions and timelines.
  • Excellent judgement, discretion and professionalism when managing sensitive employee or business matters.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex issues and create aligned messaging for leaders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to use data to identify risks, trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to coach leaders and HR colleagues and raise capability across the team.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with the confidence to improve processes, clarify ownership and challenge inconsistent ways of working.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build effective partnerships with Legal, HR Central, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition and functional HRBPs.

Your experience includes:

  • Significant experience in an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Generalist, Employee Relations or similar HR leadership role.
  • Demonstrated EMEA experience managing complex employee relations and workforce change activity.
  • Experience supporting leaders in a matrixed, international or multi-site environment.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional HR activity across Legal, HR Centres of Excellence and business stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting restructures, organisational change, RIFs, performance management, disciplinary and grievance matters.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, technology, engineering or operational environment would be beneficial.
  • Experience working in a unionised, works council or employee representative environment would be advantageous.
  • Relevant HR qualification, degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent professional HR accreditation would be desirable.
