The Seagate Derry / Londonderry Manufacturing site has been open for 30 years this year. We have over 1400 people working in our facility which is among the most advanced in the world, in the design, development, and volume manufacturing of recording heads. These recording heads write information onto and read information from the recording disc, within the data storage device.
The Springtown Quality Systems group is responsible for driving a continuous improvement of Quality, within the Wafer Organization, to ensure customer expectations and requirements are met or exceeded. This involves working cross-functionally and cross-site with our Minnesota team, to deliver improvements and adherence to our complex business processes and ensuring world class customer quality.
About the role - you will:
• Monitor and improve the quality of our operational processes and outputs.
• Facilitate the investigation and troubleshooting of process/manufacturing issues.
• Develop and implement quality standards.
• Develop and implement quality control systems.
• Monitor and analyse quality performance.
• Inspect and test materials, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.
• Collaborate with key functions to develop and implement controls and improvements.
• Developing, with key stakeholders, corrective actions, solutions, and learn wide improvements.
• Audit our systems for adherence to relevant ISO standards.
About you:

• Good mathematical skills and proficiency with computer software such Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Smartsheets.

• You are enthusiastic about driving the change to a Lean Thinking organisation.
Your experience includes:
• At least 1 year of quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar type of role. You might also have: • Bachelor’s or Masters’s Degree in quality, industrial, or mechanical engineering. Or have a minimum of 5 years’ work experience in Quality Engineering. This is a Full-Time position working 39 hours per week, on-site working.
