We are excited to announce that we are recruiting laser engineer to work in the area of laser process engineering.  You will work as part of an established team reporting to the Laser Process Engineering Manager defining and delivering volume capable processes. If you’re excited by new technologies, are naturally creative and passionate about seeing ideas come to life then this is the ideal role for you.

About the role - you will:

 

Join our cutting-edge cleanroom fabrication team and play a key role in volume production of III V active devices. As a Laser Process Engineer, you will deliver volume capable processes for III-V semiconductor device fabrication. Working alongside an established engineering team you will be responsible for:


Key Responsibilities:


•    Refining and scaling laser processes 
•    Delivering volume capable processes including robust process control systems
•    Managing daily workflow and production schedules
•    Working with cross functional team to improve operational efficiency and cycle time
•    Process point of contact on tooling installs and qualification to meet volume requirements
•    Yield Improvement activities, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
•    Cross functional collaboration to meet laser performance and reliability targets
•    Technology transfer activities from Laser development team
•    Monitoring process performance, analyzing data, and implementing improvements
•    Develop project plans and collaborate with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders.

About you:

 

•    Knowledge of semiconductor laser processing technologies with a strong understanding of fabrication interactions
•    Excellent communicator with strong presentation and technical writing skills.
•    Collaborative team player who thrives in cross-functional environments.

Your experience includes:

 

•    MSc, PhD in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Physics, Photonics, Optoelectronics, or Semiconductor Materials and Engineering or
•    BSc in same (+ 1yr experience), or 
•    Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience with other qualification in an Engineering/Science related discipline.
•    Solid background semiconductor device fabrication in industry or academia
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Proficiency with Six Sigma tools and statistical analysis software (e.g., JMP, R, Python).

 

Preferred Skills:


•    Experience in wafer fabrication, III V material engineering would be advantage
•    Scaling technologies for high-volume manufacturing
