We’re currently seeking a Facilities Technician Manager to join our cutting-edge Springtown site in Derry/Londonderry Northern Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual to contribute to a high-tech, fast-paced environment where innovation and precision are key.
About the role - you will:
As a technician manager on Monday – Friday days, you will play a key role in supporting our day to day operational and site needs. In this role, you’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of facilities engineers, technicians and contractors.

Your experience includes:
• Third level qualification in Engineering, Construction or Building Management (minimum HND) Your responsibilities will include: • Manage the Janitorial and Catering contract, scope, requests and compliance. Maintenance: • Liaise with Shift based Technician managers to ensure continuity and support of ongoing actions and activities on shift passdown reports. Contractors: • Contractors: Create and Review RAMS and Work permit. EHS: Testing may be used as part of the selection process. • At least 5 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role.
• At least 2 years’ experience in an industrial/ Factory environment.
• Strong experience managing external contractors and service providers.
• Clear understanding of EHS requirements and instill safe systems of work.
• A proactive team player who communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Skilled in coordinating across multiple stakeholder groups.
• Flexible and responsive to changing priorities and demands.
• Confident in presenting to external companies and senior leadership.
Bonus Skills & Experience: While not essential, the following would be advantageous and may be used for shortlisting:
• Experience in contractor coordination or project management.
• Background in facilities services maintenance and repair.
Site Services:
• Ensure site condition and fabric are too high standards.
• Coordinate other site services and contracts as needed e.g. Gritting, Tree Pruning, Carpark facilities
• Manage Facilities Service Requests.
• Facilitation of large onsite meeting/communications events.
• Performance Metrics: Generate PM and Service Request completion rate reports and audit area and plant inspections.
• Training: Prioritise and manage training and development needs and completion for Facilities shift personnel.
• Support ordering of parts and liaising with Materials Services on PM stock levels
• Administration of the Permit System to ensure Validity of PQQ, Site Inductions and Insurance validity.
• Schedule and coordinate Quarterly update meetings with on-site contractors.
• Accident/Incident follow ups and corrective actions.
• Attend and contribute to EHS weekly meetings.
• Follow up on corrective action closure.
• Support Audits and Inspections.
• Collaborate with EHS partners on day-to-day matters.
