About our group:
The Facilities Engineering Department are responsible for a broad variety of engineering systems, plant and building services (Electrical, HVAC, UPW, PCW, WWT, CHW, Exhaust and Abatement systems). The reliability of these systems is critical to operate a 24/7 cleanroom manufacturing environment and essential running of the high-tech nanoscale manufacturing equipment used in the production of thin-film magnetic read-write heads used in data storage devices.
About the role - you will:
We have an exciting opportunity within our Facilities Engineering Department for an experienced, proactive mechanical Technician/ Engineering Specialist. The primary responsibility for this role is working alongside facilities engineering to review, develop and manage new facilities services installations, relocation of existing services, enabling the installation of new tooling and support operations of facilities plant and equipment. You will also be responsible, when required, to assist in the operation and maintenance of key facilities plant and equipment, responding to plant issues to ensure 100% uptime of facilities critical services. You Will: • Review of Mechanical P&ID drawings & vendor information to help develop scopes of work (SOW) for facilities services required for production equipment, also for Cleanroom expansion and minor works.
• Creation of Mechanical and Rigging SOWs for Equipment installations.
• Produce & Update CAD Drawings/PID for Mechanical SOW’s,
• Produce installation timelines and manage project works.
• Uphold all health, safety, and environmental policies, ensuring safe working practices and adherence to Cleanroom protocols.
• Facilitate Pre-task checklists, risk assessments, method statements, and ensure all work meets regulatory and quality standards.
About you:
• Ability to review vendor technical documentation to produce P&ID Layout Drawings.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Team player with good communication skills.
Your experience includes:

• Experience of contractor coordination or management.
• Experience in maintenance and repair of critical mechanical facilities services and systems.
• Worked in Manufacturing environment/Cleanroom Environment
• Experience with AutoCAD
• EHS experience or Qualifications - NEBOSH
