About our group:

 

The Wafer Industrial Engineering organization plays a critical role in enabling Seagate’s manufacturing and technology roadmap by driving capacity planning, factory optimization, and end-to-end manufacturing performance across our Wafer factories in Minnesota and Northern Ireland. The team partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Product Development, and Finance to ensure that capital, capacity, technology, and factory infrastructure are aligned to long-range plans (LRP), product introductions, and operational excellence objectives. As part of a global organization, Industrial Engineering provides the analytical backbone and systems thinking required to scale advanced manufacturing technologies efficiently and cost-effectively.

About the role - you will:

 

•    Lead the Wafer Industrial Engineering organization supporting the Normandale, Minnesota and Springtown, N/Ireland manufacturing sites.
•    Own end-to-end capacity, capital, and factory planning in alignment with POR and LRP cycles.
•    Ensure factory space, capacity, and new technology readiness to enable product and technology roadmaps.
•    Drive development and application of advanced analytical, simulation, and optimization methodologies to improve factory performance.
•    Identify and address OEE, cycle time, throughput, and cost detractors across manufacturing systems.
•    Partner closely with Operations, Development, Supply Chain, and Finance leaders to align on strategy, trade-offs, and execution priorities.
•    Influence senior leadership through clear, data-driven insights, scenarios, and recommendations.
•    Build organizational capability, succession, and technical depth within Industrial Engineering.

About you:

 

•    Proven leader with the ability to set direction, inspire teams, and drive results through others.
•    Comfortable influencing across sites, functions, and senior leadership forums.
•    Strategic thinker with a strong systems perspective and bias for execution.
•    Highly analytical, structured, and disciplined in problem solving.
•    Clear, credible communicator who builds strong cross-functional networks

Your experience includes:

 

•    5+ Years Leadership experience managing and developing teams.
•    Deep background in Industrial Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent disciplines.
•    Demonstrated expertise in capacity planning, capital planning, factory modeling, and manufacturing systems optimization.
•    Strong experience operating in complex, high-volume, high-mix manufacturing environments.

 

You might also have:


•    Experience with advanced analytics, digital factory, simulation, and data-driven decision support tools.
•    Exposure to automation, robotics, or advanced manufacturing technology deployment.
•    Experience supporting product innovation ramps and technology transitions.
