Digital Communications & Engagement Assistant

About our group:

The position will report to the Internal Communications + Community Engagement Programme Manager who is responsible for programmes at the Springtown facility and EMEA. The role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment and support the delivery of internal communication, campaign and project initiatives supporting employee and community engagement at Seagate. 

About the role - you will:


Programme support: 


  • Liaise with Internal Communications + Community Engagement Programme Manager to co-ordinate quarterly Springtown/EMEA communication + engagement plan, 
  • Assist with programme/campaign delivery of key milestones and action plans and as required, liaise with external agencies and contractors,
  • Contribute to annual continuous improvement plan for internal communications and community engagement.


Innovation and Collaborative partnerships:


  • Work closely with relevant internal teams to keep abreast of site and regional developments and trends,
  • Support the execution of global communication plans with opportunities to re-share information with teams and identify additional Springtown/EMEA connections, 
  • Assist with co-ordination of priority communication/campaign and community engagement projects with cross-functional teams, 
  • Identify innovative engagement approaches for Springtown and EMEA internal audiences.

Springtown and Regional Contributions: 

  • Edit and enhance internal communication materials for a range of Springtown/EMEA audiences including intranet, newsletters, emails/memos, digital, print signage and a range of web platforms, using creative skills including written, graphic, text, images, video and design resources,
  • Coordinate internal communication efforts to maintain effective channels including site newsletter, digital screens and web platforms, 
  • Develops guidelines and guidelines for style and content, 
  • Produce regular metrics, to monitor content and campaign performance, 
  • Liaise with Internal Communications Manager to co-ordinate events & initiatives to support employee engagement at Springtown and EMEA.

Your experience includes:

  • Relevant Bachelor's degree to support an internal communications and employee engagement role, 
  • Bringing innovation to employee engagement programmes, 
  • Supporting inclusive cross-functional teams to develop and deliver communication campaigns for multiple internal and external audiences, 
  • Develop content for diverse audiences, schedule and manage a broad range of internal and external communication tools,
  • Demonstrate effective decision making and prioritise tasks/plans to meet individual and team deadlines in a fast-paced internal communications environment, 
  • Develop and managing events for internal and external audiences. 


You may also have:

  • Awareness of Data Storage/Technology/Manufacturing sector,
  • Experience of working with diverse teams across multiple locations,  
  • Experience of internal communication campaign and project management, 
  • Experience of content development for a broad range of internal audiences, 
  • Experience of a range of internal digital communication tools to support employee engagement, 
  • Awareness of community engagement programmes, 
  • Applied innovation in communication and community engagement.
