The Seagate Derry / Londonderry Manufacturing site has been open for 30 years this year. We have over 1400 people working in our facility which is among the most advanced in the world, in the design, development, and volume manufacturing of recording heads. These recording heads write information onto and read information from the recording disc, within the data storage device.

 

The Product Analysis team lies within the Process Engineering department providing an analytical service to the entire factory including R&D, Process and Equipment Engineering. This is a dynamic working environment giving you the opportunity to use your skills to benefit the Engineering teams throughout the whole of the wafer build.  It is a relatively small and specialized team where you would have the rare opportunity to work with Customer returns, and interact with all Engineering teams helping to provide job variation and an insight into working with different teams.

   

You will be working 12 hour rotating shifts to include both days and nights over a 28-day period. 

About the role - you will:

 

•    Work as part of an experienced team of 8 Engineering Specialists, helping to provide 24 x 7 cover for Critical Dimensions using high powered Electron Microscopes at various strategic stages within the wafer build.
•    Be responsible for managing the daily tool performance issues and performing preventative maintenance as required.
•    Maintain housekeeping standards in your work area.
•    Adhere to all Health and Safety policies and Behavioural standards
•    Provide high quality STEM analysis for New designs, defects and sanity checks.
•    Develop you skills to become part of the wider Analytical team effort providing STEM analysis with the opportunity to specialize in Lamella lift out, EDX analysis, Tool maintenance, Recipe maintenance or TEM analysis.

Your experience includes:

 

•    S/TEM,  FIB or SEM experience
•    2 years Manufacturing experience
•    Dexterity to handle and work with sub millimeter parts.
