About our group:

We are the Supply Chain Performance Management Team, dedicated to enhancing data visibility and delivering actionable insights to key decision-makers across Seagate’s Supply Chain organization. Our core initiatives focus on projects that analyze savings and spending patterns, particularly in relation to invoices, payment terms, and negotiation data. Additionally, we serve as a liaison between the Supply Chain team and IT, helping to facilitate and streamline data-related requests.

About the role - you will:

We’re looking for a Data Analyst Intern to join our Supply Chain Performance Management team. This role involves close collaboration with senior leadership and cross-functional teams. You will learn how to use advanced analytics, AI tools, and statistical modeling to generate actionable insights across procurement, inventory optimization, MRP data, and travel cost analytics. The ideal candidate has a desire to build strong data analytics experience with hands-on supply chain related projects and a passion for turning complex data into strategic business intelligence.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze large datasets related to procurement, travel expenses, MRP, and inventory to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau to support supply chain decision-making across the supply chain.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams - including Procurement, Finance, Sales and Operations - to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
  • Extract, transform, and analyze data from SAP, Alteryx, KNIME and other enterprise systems.

About you:

  • Strong communication and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in both isolated and group tasks.

Your experience includes:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field at the Senior level and returning to school in Fall 2026.
  • Proficiency in Tableau for dashboard development and data visualization.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong skills in SQL and at least one programming language related to data analysis (e.g. Python or R).
  • Experience with machine learning tools or statistical modeling in a business context.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP and Alteryx/KNIME for data extraction and transformation.
  • Familiarity with GitHub or other version control software

The estimated base wage range for this position is $29.00 - $35.00/hr. The individual base wage is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Seagate offers comprehensive benefits to its eligible Interns, including, but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, and participation in the employee stock purchase plan.  Seagate also offers Interns 12 paid holidays and a minimum of 48 hours of paid sick leave.  The benefits for this position are based on a 24 to 40-hour-per-week schedule for a full calendar year and may differ depending on work location and tenure with the Company.
