The Brand Marketing team at Seagate sits at the center of our global brand strategy and reputation. As a key function within our broader Corporate Marketing organization, we lead strategy and execution across brand, content, thought leadership, and digital storytelling. We are a global, cross-functional group of strategists, writers, creatives, and communicators working to reimagine how Seagate shows up in the world - anchored in innovation and trust.  

 

About the role - you will:

 

You will report directly to the Senior Manager of Content and work closely with partners in Brand Creative, Product Marketing, Demand Generation, PR, and Marketing Operations. 

 

You will be responsible for leading the execution of Seagate’s global content marketing program through storytelling, which includes helping to shape the overall content strategy and managing content development and production. This means the ability to write strong and compelling copy that renders hard drive technology easy to understand as well as some ability to conceptualize and, ideally, execute design of such content. 

 

You will:  

 

  • Prove yourself to be, first and foremost, a polished tech brand storyteller. 
  • Create and implement a content marketing strategy, including content creation, curation, and distribution, with a strong thought leadership focus and persistent focus on customer needs and challenges.  
  • Draft compelling copy that follows Seagate’s editorial guidelines—from case studies to blog articles and social posts. 
  • Synthesizes raw, complex datasets into meaningful insights using copy as well as, ideally, foundational skills in Tableau and Excel. 
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify patterns and translate findings into clear, business-relevant narratives.
  • Creates basic intuitive and engaging visualizations that support data-driven storytelling across teams.  
  •  Draft content copy as well as design visuals with audience needs in mind, ensuring clarity and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Apply essential data hygiene practices to maintain accuracy and trustworthiness in visual outputs. 
  •  Demonstrate awareness of statistical limitations, filter logic, and appropriate representation methods to support sound analysis. 

About you:

 

  • You are an experienced, compelling storyteller: a great writer/editor with the ability to render complex phenomena simple and easy to understand (2-3 years). 
  • You have basic data visualization skills and want to practice them and learn more.
  • You are agile enough to juggle, if need be, 5-10 projects in a day.   
 

 

Your experience includes:

 

  • Possess excellent interpersonal communication and proactive problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate with senior business leaders and provide strategic recommendations. 

  • Self-starter with strong project management & collaboration ability to lead analytics projects end-to-end. 

  • Experience with leading or working in a dedicated content marketing function in a B2B industry. Creative, multi-channel approach to B2B content ideation and development
