This role is supporting the Channel and Consumer Sales Organization. The Americas Sales Organization is a customer focused, data driven, dynamic, and nimble group recognized by our partners as one of the best Sales Organizations in the data storage industry. The overarching goal is to win through offering our distributors, resellers, integrators, and retail partners a complete portfolio of Storage solutions. About the role - you will:

 

  • Assist with building profiles for our top distribution partners within the North America Channel
  • Find ways to improve our business process and relationship with distribution customers
  • Build strong relationships with cross functional teams (Pricing, Marketing, Operations) to provide meaningful data/reports for team efficiency and process improvement
  • Meet with both internal and external teams to understand and map end users within distribution supply chain
  • Identify areas of improvement by recognizing each unique customer’s value to Seagate and align joint engagements
  • Support Ecommerce & Retail planning by working with Sales Analyst to improve forecasting capabilities
  • Analyze long term Total Available Market (TAM) trending impact on future forecasts
  • Incorporate price elasticity data into our sales process to make accurate predictions
  • Evaluate sales team performance against key goals and metrics to identify/recommend/implement optimizations to increase efficiency, productivity, and return on investment
  • Understand the current & future trends in AI computer/Social Selling (Tik Tok) storage market and evaluate which customers make commercial and economic sense for Seagate to pursue
  • Drive operational excellence by supporting the sales team with key actions and Service Level Agreement (SLA) adherence

About you:

 

  • Team player and willing to learn
  • Self-motivation with the ability to take initiative in a challenging, fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional computer skills, especially Excel (vlookups, pivot tables etc.)
  • Strong analytical capabilities, ability to take data and recommend solutions or ideas
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, comfortable speaking to groups, and strong attention to detail and proofreading skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage many ongoing projects at once

 

Your experience includes:

 

  • Experience using analysis, reporting, modeling, and forecasting to gather data to create logical summaries and conclusions
  • Proven problem-solving skills, project management skills, and the ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
  • Currently pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business or Finance and must be enrolled in Fall 2025 classes

The estimated base wage range for this position is $20 - $29.50/hr. The individual base wage is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. 

 

Seagate offers comprehensive benefits to its eligible Interns, including, but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, and participation in the employee stock purchase plan.  Seagate also offers Interns paid time off, including 12 holidays and a minimum of 48 hours of paid sick leave.  The benefits for this position are based on a 24 to 40-hour-per-week schedule for a full calendar year and may differ depending on work location and tenure with the Company.
