Our Channel Sales Team builds strategic partnerships, enables distributors, and grows revenue across Seagate’s device portfolio. This role centers on downstream execution — working directly with distributor sales reps to uncover opportunities, build pipeline, and grow sales‑out in the U.S. channel.

About the role - you will:

You are an experienced and dynamic channel sales professional who thrives in front‑line engagement. This role focuses on field selling, downstream customer engagement, new customer acquisition, and day‑to‑day support for distributor seller communities. This role will report to the Seagate manager of North America Distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales‑out growth by engaging directly with distributor inside and outside sales teams across assigned territories
  • Build strong working relationships with distributor sellers and new customer accounts
  • Conduct joint customer calls, identify prospects, and develop new business within the distributor ecosystem
  • Utilizing pos reporting to identify new opportunities for data storage customers
  • Support recruitment into Seagate’s partner program
  • Deliver actionable sales insights, training, competitive positioning guidance to distributor reps
  • Support deal qualification, and customer‑facing conversations to accelerate wins
  • Lead sales pipeline planning for  Q+4 alignment
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Seagate Marketing, Pricing, Product, Legal, and Technical teams to support field execution
  • Develop repeatable best practices to improve sales‑out velocity, partner engagement, and customer penetration
  • Operate independently to deliver strong results across assigned initiatives and territory focus areas

About you:

• Strong sales background with proven success in channel, distribution, or related environments — or strong sales/business acumen as a motivated new graduate
• Hunter‑oriented approach with demonstrated ability to uncover new opportunities, expand customer bases, and build incremental pipeline
• Success building business through distributor sellers and indirect partner ecosystems
• Proficiency with MS Office and sales analytics tools; strong ability to interpret data and present actionable insights
• Highly self‑motivated, proactive, and results‑driven; thrives in fast‑paced, competitive environments
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship‑building skills

Your experience includes:

• Strong problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively across all organizational levels, internally and externally
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

The estimated base salary range for this position is $98,000 - $145,000. The individual salary is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. 

 

This position is also eligible to earn additional commission-based (60/40 plan) compensation pursuant to an established commission sales plan. Actual commission-based compensation will be based on performance and the eligible target incentive, as addressed in the applicable plan, all of which is subject to change.
