About our group:
Our group is responsible for critical services including capacity planning, capital budget planning, design of factory layouts, factory staffing and factory modelling.
We design, develop, and apply engineering, mathematical models, simulation, and optimization models to drive solutions to complex manufacturing problems.
We support and improve the performance of the Manufacturing operations and play a crucial role in the execution of Seagate’s Product and Technology Roadmap
This role will be responsible for factory space planning and layout now and in the future, identifying actions, and initiating tool moves. This role will also be responsible for generating purchase requisitions, work orders and budgets related to equipment installs and moves.
About the role - you will:
• Balance long range planning with short term execution and coordination for tool purchasing, installs and tool moves.
• Work in collaboration with facilities, equipment, operations teams.
• Proactively identifying risks, constraints and dependencies in space and tool planning.
• Own planning deliverables from concept through implementation.
• Work in dynamic environments where priorities evolve.
• Manage site wide projects.
• Own the CAD layout for the factories.
• Understand and help manage complexities of facilities requirements and its impact on placement of tools.
About you:
• Familiar with facilities and factory components.
• Good with layout / structure puzzles.
• Proven track record of results.
• Likes to work in CAD.
• Able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong ability to influence and lead others.
• Success in coordinating teams.
Your experience includes:
• Proficiency in CAD. You might also have:
• Ability to effectively communicate and present results to all levels to drive action.
• Seeking applicants with a degree in Industrial Engineering, or another relevant discipline
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering related field (Mechanical, Industrial, etc.) or equivalent experience and education.
• Prior experience working in a manufacturing/semiconductor environment.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $92,000 - $132,000. The individual salary is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
