The Seagate Human Resources team is looking for an experienced, forward-thinking, solutions-oriented operations architect for the Sr. Human Resources Business Partner role. The role of a Sr. Human Resources Business Partner is to solve organizational challenges with people-related solutions aligned to our core values, while showing a commitment to provide an amazing employee experience for our employees through all phases of their careers.

This role will be responsible for influencing and executing our organizational and people-related strategy and collaborating with our leadership team.

You are resourceful, creative, driven, and like to think big, use data to guide your work, be comfortable challenging convention, and in some cases reinvent how work is done.

 

As the Senior Human Resources Business Partner will be supporting clients in a 24x7 manufacturing environment we are seeking candidates who can be flexible in availability, including regular on-site support during typical off hours.  This includes a staggered workday where you will work until 10:00 pm approximately 2 days a week.  Standard work week will be Monday – Friday although there may be an occasional call on the weekend.   

About the role - you will:

 

  • Be expected to positively influence decisions to improve business results by acting as the voice of the employee base, and with individual managers
  • Be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of inclusive, global HR programs, in close collaboration with our HR Centers of Excellence.
  • Understand the business climate, represent unique business needs.
  • Develop and drive people - related strategies by identifying and researching human resource issues, contributing information, analysis, and recommendations in line with organization objectives.
  • Provide insightful data to guide decision making and provide proactive solutions.
  • Be a strategic partner and trusted advisor to leaders and play a critical role in enhancing their leadership effectiveness.
  • Help others solve problems and get to the root cause of issues. Design and quickly implement solutions that cut across multiple disciplines.
  • Provide expertise in the following areas: career planning, performance management, coaching, data analysis, employee relations and development, talent reviews, recognition programs, and organization design & development and employee engagement.
  • Create communication and presentations materials that present information in a clear and effective manner.
  • Lead and participate in local or global project teams on HR projects and initiatives. Program and project management as needed
  • Be a role model and guide for employees.

Your experience includes:

 

  • Demonstrated HR business partner experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • In depth knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, employee engagement, inclusion and diversity, performance management, coaching and development, and employment law
  • Knowledge of the annual HR processes and implementation requirements, as gained through experience and demonstrated project management success
  • Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience

 

You might also have:

 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with proven ability to organize and analyze data, understand trends, and develop recommendations for actions based on the analysis
  • Experience and understanding of labor relations
  • Experience in representing HR in site compliance audits such as ISO-9001, Business Continuity Management and RBA (Responsible Business Alliance)
  • The ability to build and influence relationships with leaders and a set of stakeholders to drive organizational change as well as being a skilled communicator

 

The estimated base salary range for this position is: $81,500.00 - $116,600.00. The individual salary is based on work location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education and training.
