About our group:

The Wafer Operations finance team provides finance and business support to the Wafer factory operations team across two locations - Minnesota, USA, and Springtown Northern Ireland. The team is part of a global finance team that also supports Seagate operations in China, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. The wafer manufacturing and design process is integral to Seagate's efforts towards providing the most innovative, efficient, and dependable data storage products.

About the role - you will:

  • Lead the preparation and analysis of financial reporting from weekly operational routines and monthly results through annual planning and strategic long-range planning.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes.
  • Provide variance analysis and insights on financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Monitor key metrics and provide actionable insights to drive business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, align on assumptions, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Present financial findings and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
  • Drive process improvements and implement best practices in financial planning and reporting.
  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience in financial planning and analysis or a related role
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting tools like an ERP or data visualization software.
  • Excellent understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Your experience includes:

  • Experience in manufacturing or a high-tech industry.
  • Experience effectively collaborating with teams across different time zones in a global environment.

You might also have:

  • An MBA or CPA.
  • Familiarity using SAP and Tableau or data visualization tools.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $82,000 - $116,500. The individual salary is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
