About our group:
The New Product Development (NPD) Transducer Design Team plays a critical role in integrating cutting-edge recording head technologies into Hard Disk Drives (HDD). Our team oversees data from wafer processes, recording head performance, HDD performance, and reliability feedback. We also conduct failure analysis and implement actions to improve product quality based on these insights. One of our most critical areas is analyzing reliability failures. With limited quantities, it is essential to track and analyze failures within specific groups accurately and efficiently.

· Tools & Technologies: · Experience with GitHub Copilot in agent mode. Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related fields and must be enrolled in school for Fall 2026.

The estimated base wage range for this position is $22-$43/hr. The individual base wage is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Seagate also offers Interns 12 paid holidays and a minimum of 48 hours of paid sick leave. The benefits for this position are based on a 24 to 40-hour-per-week schedule for a full calendar year and may differ depending on work location and tenure with the Company
