About our group:

 

Our New Product Development (NPD) planning team supports Seagate’s Recording Head Technology group with documentation, schedule adherence, and demand/supply analysis during the qualification of complex Heat-Assisted Magnetic Recording (HAMR) technologies and products.

About the role - you will:

 

· Analyze planning and inventory processes and requirements unique to HAMR development

· Generate/modify spreadsheets, build documentation, and presentations

· Collaborate with our global planning, operations, and engineering teams to identify and implement efficiencies to our current systems

· Network with cross-functional core team members and other Summer 2025 Seagate interns on creative solutions as issues arise

About you:

 

· Enthusiastic learner and self-starter with an inherent attention to detail

· Innovative problem solver who embraces change and challenges for the learning experience

· Able to communicate, collaborate, and build relationships with cross functional teams

Your experience includes:

 

· Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Powerpoint, Power BI, and Copilot

· Demonstrated data analysis skills

· Focused on continuous improvement

· Pursuing a BA or MA in Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Operations, Engineering, or related program; must be enrolled in Fall 2025 classes

Our Normandale campus spans two suburbs, Edina and Bloomington, and serves as the Recording Head development and manufacturing arm of Seagate. The estimated base wage range for this position is $16 - $24/hr. The individual base wage is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. 

Seagate offers comprehensive benefits to its eligible Interns, including, but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, and participation in the employee stock purchase plan.  Seagate also offers Interns 12 paid holidays and a minimum of 48 hours of paid sick leave.  The benefits for this position are based on a 24 to 40-hour-per-week schedule for a full calendar year and may differ depending on work location and tenure with the Company
