About our group:

Our team’s mission is to develop new processes for state-of-the-art recording technology.  Specifically, the design and development of novel recording head process technology, utilizing many of the same techniques and methodologies employed in nanoscale semiconductor manufacturing.

About the role - you will:

  • Work with a team of engineers in integration/photo/ICP/materials/plating/CMP/wetetch process to help support the delivery of advanced writers with designed magnetic, electrical, and thermo-mechanical performance for the next generation products.
  • Manage and maintain product configuration activities for the TDT HAMR team.
  • Provide accurate and timely configuration documentation, including route changes, LCR’s and multiple daily reports that the team uses to keep track of experiments.
  • Assist with daily execution of WIP management and priorities.
  • Consistently work on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues. Make recommendations for new procedures.
  • As a skilled specialist, you will complete complex tasks in creative and effective ways.
  • Shift will be Monday – Friday starting at 6:30 am; 8 hour days.

About you:

  • You are self-motivated, able to work independently, and have strong attention to detail.
  • You are a team player capable of working in strong partnership with and communicating effectively with a diverse group of engineers and technicians.
  • You are able to maintain thorough documentation of results and be able to clearly discuss them with the engineering staff.  
  • You are able and willing to adapt to changing needs of a fast-paced development program. 

Your experience includes:

  • Hands-on experience in thin film processing is preferred.
  • Experience working assignments requiring initiative and make recommendations for solutions.
  • Knowledge of thin film recording head processing is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of factory information systems preferred but not required (MES, Xsite, SPC, LCR, PCA).
  • Knowledge of basic analysis and presentation software (Excel, Powerpoint,Tableau).

 

You Might Also Have:

  • Associate's Degree in a technical field and minimum of 4 ‐ 6 years of related experience.

 

The estimated base wage range for this position is $29.03 - $42.31 an hr. The individual base wage is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
