We are hiring in the Equipment Engineering and Services department within the Recording Heads Operations at Seagate Technology, Inc. in Bloomington, MN. We are looking for skilled Engineering Technicians on multiple shifts. In this position, you will work on maintenance related activities on equipment in our Wafer Fab Cleanroom and actively interact cross-functionally with Process, RD, and Manufacturing departments. We are a team-oriented organization with a priority to enhance technician skills at all levels in the department.

About the role - you will:

 

  • Maintain, troubleshoot and repair of Vacuum, Photo, Plate, and Test equipment in Wafer fabrication.
  • Utilize your knowledge of electronic circuits, PLC’s, Robotics and read schematics
  • Be able to follow and complete PM instructions
  • Maintain, repair and troubleshoot equipment in a manner that meets company standards and ensure minimum equipment downtime.
  • Work with technicians that repair and maintain production and production test equipment
  • Able to work safely on equipment that requires use of PPE, with chemicals or gases
  • Establish and maintain preventive maintenance programs and procedures
  • Administer training programs to ensure proper equipment operation, preventive maintenance, repair programs and procedures
  • Work on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative. Understand implications of work and make recommendations for solutions
  • Determine methods and procedures on new assignments
  • Provide guidance to other non-exempt personnel. As a skilled specialist, complete tasks in creative and effective ways
  • May work nights and weekends

  • Experience with MS Office
  • Able to work night shift Friday to Sunday 6:00 pm to 4:00 am and every other Thursday to Sunday 6:00pm to 4:00 am

 

You might also have: 

 

  • Software and Hardware experience
  • Related experience in the field, post-secondary education is relevant military experience

The estimated base wage range for this position is $26.44 - $37.00/hr. The individual base wage is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
