Wafer Manufacturing department has responsibility for enabling faster delivery of RD and Released products a high-volume Wafer manufacturing facility. This enables Seagate’s strategy of delivering ever larger capacity storage including next generation HAMR drives to our customers. About the role - you will:

 

As a Wafer Manufacturing team member, you will lead projects to drive improvements across the site including reducing manufacturing cycle time and enable manufacturing efficiency improvements with a high level of analytical and logical problem-solving ability. Areas of investigation include improving utilization, reducing scrap and yield loss, improving factory cleanliness and overall reducing waste.

 

Required Skills include:

 

  • Collecting and analyzing cycle time data
  • Observing and interviewing operators to understand barriers to success
  • Mapping business processes
  • Collecting Stakeholder input to design solutions
  • Implementing solutions in a timely manner
  • Presenting findings and solutions to Management
  • Managing several projects in parallel

About you:

 

  • Ability to communicate vertically and horizontally through numerous channels, utilize cross-functional network to complete goals 
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with global teams 
  • Ability to build relationships and influence cross functional teams 
  • Self-starter who can build relationships and use judgement when working with partners to ensure effective outcomes.  
  • Qualities of a team player
  • Ability to be flexible and work effectively with changing business needs

Your experience includes:

 

  • Strong data processing and visualization skills (MS Excel, etc.)
  • Creative problem solving
  • Working across department to solve complex problems
  • BS or higher with an engineering or science major

The estimated base wage range for this position is $ 30.69 /hr- $ 43.89 /hr. The individual base wage is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Day shift Monday-Friday
