If you are excited by innovative technology development, are naturally creative, and passionate about seeing ideas come to life then this could be a perfect fit to your research and development career.

About the role - you will:

  • Help develop new wafer process and test methods for advanced recording head device wafers
  • Work with the design and process development teams to translate new device concepts into feasible, predictive test structures
  • Assist in development of new unit processes (deposition, litho, etch, CMP, wet process) needed to achieve component-level feasibility demonstrations
  • Perform and analyze a variety of metrology measurements to assess geometric and physical properties of functional thin films and nanostructures
  • Detect, pareto and help solve new defect modes related to new integration schemes
  • Evaluate new process techniques for capability and manufacturability
  • Perform work with team of PhD engineers and technicians in lab and clean room environments
