About our group:

The Seagate Global OEM Sales organization is seeking a motivated Account Sales Representative who aspires to build a career in sales by supporting established global OEM customers. This role is designed for an early-career professional with strong analytical curiosity, technical aptitude, interest in AI-enabled workflows, and a desire to grow into a customer-facing technology sales role.

 

The position provides hands-on exposure to OEM account management, demand forecasting, and cross-functional execution, while building foundational commercial, analytical, and customer-engagement skills. Over time, the role will expand in scope and accountability, with clear development milestones and progression expectations.

About the role - you will:

  • Develop knowledge of assigned Global OEM accounts through structured onboarding and shadowing of experienced Devices and Systems Sales Representatives
  • Support day-to-day account operations, including demand forecasting, demand analysis, and internal demand-to-supply coordination
  • Build a working understanding of OEM customer strategies, business models, product portfolios, and go-to-market structures
  • Assist with weekly and monthly demand forecasting by SKU, in partnership with Sales, Operations, and Planning teams
  • Leverage AI-assisted tools, analytics, and reporting to identify trends, risks, and anomalies in demand and account data
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Product Management, Customer Support Organization, and other internal teams to support account execution
  • Help document processes, improve workflows, and support data-driven and AI-enabled efficiency initiatives
  • Gradually assume increased responsibility and ownership as skills and capability develop, aligned to clearly defined milestones
  • Represent Seagate professionally and build foundational relationships with internal stakeholders and OEM customer teams

About you:

  • Strong interest in sales, customer engagement, and technology-driven businesses
  • Demonstrated curiosity and ability to quickly learn complex business and technical concepts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort presenting to small groups
  • Basic analytical capability and interest in forecasting, data analysis, and process improvement
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment
  • High integrity, strong work ethic, and a growth mindset

Your experience includes:

  • Foundational exposure to AI tools, analytics platforms, or AI-assisted workflows, with interest in applying AI to sales and decision-making
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as part of long-term development
  • Prior OEM, sales, or account management experience is not required; this role is intentionally designed as an early-career development position
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Analytics, Data Science, or a related field

 

Travel Requirements:

  • Approximately 10–15% travel
  • Must be willing and able to meet domestic and international travel requirements over time
  • Valid driver’s license and passport required
  • Ability to qualify for a company-sponsored credit card

The estimated base salary range for this position is $68,889 - $102,297. The individual salary is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. 

This position is also eligible to earn additional commission-based compensation pursuant to an established commission sales plan. Actual commission-based compensation will be based on performance and the eligible target incentive, as addressed in the applicable plan, all of which is subject to change.
