Intern - Business Operation / Administration (Learning Program Manager)

About our group:


The Operations & Technology Advanced Analytics Group (OTAAG) work for initiative helping our internal customers turn the data they have into the information they need to develop and deliver industry-leading storage solutions. 


OTAAG is seeking an intern to assist the Program Manager in administering the Seagate Citizen Data Scientist (CDS) Certification Program. Candidates should be passionate about the implementation and administration of educational and technical training programs. The CDS Certification Program is an internal training program to upskill the data science and analytics skills of Seagate employees across the company globally.


About the role - you will:


  • Support the end-to-end administration of the program
  • Create and distribute communication materials to employees and program’s participants
  • Provide support to participants’ general queries on the program; follow-up with emails from participants
  • The required duties will include scheduling, hosting online workshops, updating learning resources, collecting data, and related tasks. The job holder can expect to assist with testing and documentation activities to help with simple troubleshooting.
  • Complete ad-hoc assignments, as required

About you:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology, Social Sciences or any disciplines with interest in adult learning and training programs in a corporate environment
  • Detail-oriented
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Teamwork and self-starter. Ability to work alone as well as in a team environment.
  • A collaborative attitude and a global mindset with an ability to work well with native and non-native English speakers
  • Possess basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Able to open spreadsheets to perform data entry or data verification. Create and update presentation slideshows/ documents/ webpages/ email for information sharing and management reporting.  
  • Knowledge of SharePoint will be beneficial but optional as learning opportunities will be available on the job



The Shugart site (named after Seagate’s founder, Al Shugart) is a research and design center.
