Senior Electrical Integration Engineer

About our group:
The Development Electrical Integration is a part of Characterization and Analytics Group (CAG), Recording Head Technology, that helps provide test solutions and design learnings at the transducer level to the Recording Head Design teams. We work closely with Test Developers and Recording Head designers in Minnesota USA and Springtown UK.
About the role - you will:
- Collaborate with Test Development and R&D Operations teams to design, qualify, and implement test applications and tools (hardware/software) for design validation and process control.
- Partner with Design and R&D teams to conduct magnetic recording experiments, analyze performance and reliability data, and present findings to the Recording Head Development team.
- Develop innovative engineering solutions for R&D operations using industry-standard techniques and methodologies.
- Apply independent judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to achieve desired outcomes.
About you:
- Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to take ownership of team results.
- Effective communicator, capable of conveying technical concepts across engineering and support functions.
- Skilled at managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
Your experience includes:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Experience with programming languages, automated data acquisition/processing/visualization, and large-scale data analysis.
- Familiarity with electronic test equipment (e.g., electrical circuits, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers), as well as characterization methodologies such as Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), or similar techniques — preferred.
