About our group:

Korat Drive Functional Engineering – contains 5 job functions (Read/Write (R/W), Head Media Electrical (HME), Drive Servo (SVO), Drive Mechanical (MECH) and Head Disk Integration Group (HDIG). The overall assignment is a Hard Disc Drive (HDD) technical support team that works closely with the product engineer, design center and reliability team to solve HDD problems, improving product quality, yield and test-time in related field of each function.

About the role - you will:

•    Collaborate with Product Engineers, Design Center Engineers and Reliability team to solve Hard Disc Drive (HDD) problems, improving product quality, yield and test-time in ARS function-related field, contain of HDD’s Mechanical and Electrical parts, Head-Media components analysis, 
•    Lead critical products and projects in ARS related-function
•    Assist and/or initiate any drive’s test process, generate process improvement ideas and actively participate in design concepts
•    Provide direct on-site support to manufacturing operations, product engineers, reliability team, and design centers
•    Perform data analysis and electrical failure analysis (EFA) by using Seagate’s HDD tools, computer programming (C and Python) and Matlab to find root-cause and understand problems and/or new designs such as changes in electrical/mechanical components or new features/algorithms
•    Monitor product performance, yield and quality focusing in ARS related field
•    Be a technical consultant to Product Engineers, the Reliability team and the factory team
 

About you:

•    Organization, ability to manage and support multiple projects
•    Excellent problem-solving skills
•    Ability to work across multiple teams and collaborate effectively
•    Good communication and presentation skills
•    Good command of English
•    Able to lead and coach team members
•    Able to host meetings with teams 
 

Your experience includes:

•    Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field or equivalent experience (Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering are preferable)
•    Microsoft Office, computer programming (C and Python) and Matlab
•    Product and/or project management
•    Basic or advanced knowledge of electrical and circuit
•    Data analysis skills
•    JMP (Jump), Tableau, skills
•    Advanced data science, AI and Machine Learning

Our Korat facility is our largest manufacturing site worldwide, with more than 10,000 employees.
