About our group:

The Global Mobility and Immigration team is responsible for the strategy and delivery of Seagate’s assignment, immigration, and relocation programs. The team is part of Seagate’s Total Reward team. Currently our team consists of two professionals: one Sr. Manager (based in the US) and one Sr. Administrator (based in Thailand).

About the role - you will:

  • Have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the various facets of global mobility and immigration in the corporate setting, which offers invaluable insights into the complexities of managing international assignments, immigration and relocation, and provides opportunities to collaborate with internal strategic stakeholders, including Legal, HR, Payroll, and Tax.
  • Enhance the team's communication methods and content. This may include assisting in developing and updating global mobility and immigration policies and procedures, and preparing communication materials to employees, hiring managers and HRBPs for the Global Mobility & Immigration SharePoint.
  • Help the team with its US immigration program by helping with posting and reporting.
  • You may support other assignments/projects relating to global mobility or Total Rewards topics, as needed.

  • Good analytical skills and can communicate effectively
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Your experience includes:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications or a related field, and returning to classes in Fall 2025


You May Also Have:

  • Interest in or prior experience with global audiences
  • Experience creating web content that helps to convey our programs in an easy-to-understand way

Location:

Our Gold LEED-certified Fremont product-design campus drives innovation, bringing together a diverse set of engineering, design, operations, support, and administrative teams.  The site is equipped with a state-of-the-art clean room and lab space. The estimated base wage range for this position is $19.50 - $26.00/hr. The individual base wage is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Seagate offers comprehensive benefits to its eligible Interns, including, but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, and participation in the employee stock purchase plan.

 

Seagate also offers Interns 12 paid holidays and a minimum of 48 hours of paid sick leave.  The benefits for this position are based on a 24 to 40-hour-per-week schedule for a full calendar year and may differ depending on work location and tenure with the Company.
